Santa Barbara Beach Sunset

Sometimes, luck with weather and timing allows for some amazing photographs to take place. One late fall evening, just after Thanksgiving. Friends and I drove down to the shore not far from Santa Barbara, California. There, by a large rock outcropping we had the fortune to observe low-lying clouds rolling in with the tide as the sun set just below them. Interesting shadows and textures played out on the shore creating an amazing feel of mystery and power as the wind whipped our hair around and salt water sprayed out from the waters in the chill air. We stayed until it was too dark to see the ocean or even each other. We left feeling a bond after witnessing such an amazing natural display.
