Malibu Sunset

The name “Malibu” dreams up the notion of exclusivity, chic, affluence, Hollywood stars, not to mention surfing. But surprisingly, a stop on the Pacific Coast Highway here gave my friend and I a couple hours of enjoyable exploring, bird watching, photographing, and  peaceful observing close to sunset accompanied mostly by flocks of gulls, pelicans, and a couple fisherman. There were a small group of surfers plying onto shores on some waves, but from a distance their journeys were more meditative than anything else. As the suns et, all was bathed in a beautiful pink light that mingled perfectly with the salty breeze.
