NYC: Dance Skating in Central Park

IMG_1913On a summer walk through Central Park, my friend and I discovered this. Unbeknownst to me, this goes on every weekend, and has been going on for decades. Disco beats, a very old school group of New Yorkers that in more than one ways seemed a throwback to the 70s and 80s. No Irony. No hipsters. No yuppies. After the surprise wore off, we watched for a good half hour, enjoying the positive vibes of afternoon and the various characters on the rink. You can always find something in this town that’s new to you, but has been going on for a long time.
